Base is classic TECO green not blue as it shows in some of the photos. Beautiful early and large stately c. 1905 13 x 6.5 inch torpedo shaped TECO GATES Matte Green Arts & Crafts vase shape #60C. The glaze has a lot of desirable smokiness and is in excellent condition. There is a small professional repair of the highest quality to a very small chip/nick to the rim. A very very small factory flaw on the body was also addressed by the restorer. There are attractive areas around the top where the glaze has pooled and alligatored, showing the smoother body underneath. Impressed and incised markings on the base are partially obscured by the thick glaze. An exceptional beauty, and important piece with large presence.
